In early December 2007 the 3 partners of the PanViruShield project, Vironova AB, CBA, and SMI received a 9.5 million SEK grant to during 3 years develop a rapid diagnostic system for screening and identification of viral pathogens in humans and animals. This to strengthen society's preparedness for infectious disease emergencies caused by highly pathogenic viruses.
